You may ask yourself from time to time, why is that I want to search for Spanish properties as opposed to properties in Portugal, properties in France, properties in Cyprus, properties in Cape Verde or even properties in Florida, Brazil or South Africa. You may wonder what it is about Spanish properties that makes them so attractive to foreign proeprty purchasers. Why is it that so many Irish, British and Scandinavian people choose to buy Spanish properties every year in their thousands.

The answer is simple for some, and for others very complicated. The East Coast Cyprus can feel very familiar to people emigrating here from their home country, yet exotic enough to afford to forget about home, the dark weather, the wet winds, the traffic, the early nights, the cold. Of course I am making home sound like a hell, which it very definitely is not, but the truth is that Spain has so much more to offer in terms of the very basic element of living: the weather.

The weather is probably the single most affecting factor for everyone on the globe. From farmers to fishermen, holidaymakers to cyclists, airplane pilots to desert explorers, so much of our choices and decisions rely on the current state of the weather. At home the weather is often unpredictable, leading to last minute decisions, bad choices, aborted barbecues, sniffling noses, wet washing and more.

Spain offers one thing that many other countries in the world can not. A predictable weather pattern. The prediction every year in Spain is that the sun will shine for the most of the year, guaranteed. Its proximity to the equator and the burning mainland of Africa practically ensures that every year we are guaranteed that the sun will always shine. This is the main reason why people choose the move to Spain. Barbecues can be planned, washing left out, trips taken, windows left open etc.

That, my readers, is the main reason why everyone loves Spanish properties.
